Spin-biking can be done by people of all ages - and most already know how. The low impact nature of cycling makes it an ideal exercise for those with joint pain.
Cardio kickboxing is a vigorous cardiovascular workout that builds endurance, flexibility, and strength. Controlled kicks and punches in combination with traditional aerobic movements make this form of exercise the ideal way to achieve a physically fit body.
You really don't need to be good at tennis to play cardio tennis. It's all about the workout rather than the quality of the game. This allows the player to reach their target heart rate zone that is the most effective for burning calories.
Hiking is also a "warm-up" and "cool-down" activity, helping you to transition in and out of more advanced workouts. the single most natural form of exercise we humans do. Walking, Jogging and Running are at the core of our bodies' very design. Done right, it can produce signficant fitness results without causing injury or substantial pain.
Ocean or Sea Kayaking and Paddleboarding are relatively easy to get the hang of, while providing substantial exercise. It's also a lot of fun! While you're navigating the open waters and watching for dolphins, your body will be building core strength, improved circulation, stronger muscles in your back, chest, arms and torso, and improved balance.
When you aren't used to exercise, you will often push certain areas of your body beyond the point of growth and cause muscle groups to cramp or "lock up". Therapeutic massage helps to relieve this tension, while improving blood flow to the affected areas for more rapid healing, as well as substantially improving flexibility and range of motion.
Training was very tough and they push you for sure! I was surprised at how much I was able to actually accomplish while I was there. The condos were very nice - beautiful view and just a great staff. It is a small operation, but they are very, very good at what they do.

Core strength is the foundation of Pilates exercise. The core muscles are the deep, internal muscles of the abdomen and back. When the core muscles are strong and doing their job, as they are trained to do in Pilates, they work in tandem with the more superficial muscles of the trunk to support the spine and movement.
Plyometric techniques include Squat Jumps, Lateral Jumps, Power Skipping, Tuck Jumps, and many more. They all however, share the same primary goal - to force the muscles into an "explosive" tension, for a very brief amount of time, repeatedly. We use plyometrics to improve muscle strength, agility and speed.
Strength training builds muscle. Muscle is responsible for both moving you - and burning calories. Strength training also keeps your metabolic rate high, which helps you to burn fat. Additionally, strength training increases endurance, improves bone density, strengthens joints, lowers cholesterol, improves your sleep, and teaches you persistence, sacrifice, self control and responsibility.
Along with other exercise types, TRX provides the unique advantage of combining muscle strength training with balance, core strength and agility. TRX is also inherently low-impact, and is therefore a key component in our programs. By gaining control of your body through TRX training, you'll increase core strength, be lighter on your feet, and feel younger than you have in years!
Water aerobics is inherently low impact, easy on the joints, and helpful for those suffering from back pain or who are overweight. The exercise however, is substantial - providing an intense cardio workout and using water resistance to provide clean, smooth motion exercise. Water Aerobics are especially essential for those who are attending because they need to lose substantial weight, or who have injuries or joint problems.
The first and most obvious reason? We're located across the street from the beautiful white sands of Madeira Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. It would be strange if we didn't take advantage of this natural opportunity. More to the point however - for the best results, we have to provide as much variety as possible. Beach Fitness sessions are a fun change from our on-site workout routines.
I lost 45 pounds in 4 weeks! I could not believe it! I know that that is the exception, not the rule - but I have to give the trainers and the chef major credit. I feel great and I have my life back. I feel like I did when I was 30 years old again. Oh, and the massage lady - Fantastic!
